What do you need and expect in a Realtor?  I can and will deliver!

I have been licensed and have worked in the industry for over twenty years, as both a residential real estate agent and also a top-selling account executive for a real estate marketing company.  I have personally (not part of a team) sold several hundred homes during my career.  My skill strengths are communication, research and analysis, marketing, finance, and negotiation, and I will use these to your best advantage.

I am familiar with all aspects of residential real estate including resales and new homes, short-sales and foreclosures as well as farms and land. I work with all types of sellers including distressed and relo, and all types buyers - owner occupants from first-time to retiree, new and experienced investors. I am an associate broker and have multiple certifications including the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), a designation that requires such a commitment to education that less than 10% of all licensed agents have completed the program. I attend continuing education classes and conferences regularly to stay abreast of the constantly-changing industry.

When I work with a client, I am fully committed to them.  Their goals become my goals, and I will work tirelessly to meet them.  I strive to make their selling or buying experience as pleasurable and stress-free as possible, anticipating and resolving potential problems quickly and effectively.

My closed transactions speak to my success, but I measure it through the satisfaction of my clients. Please read the reviews that a few of them have submitted so you can be confident in your decision to choose me as your real estate professional.

And if you are interested, a little more about me…

Although I was born in Tennessee, I’ve lived in Georgia so long that I think of myself as a native.  I grew up in metro Atlanta and have lived in Gwinnett, Clarke, Fulton and Jackson Counties.  I went to Milton High School in Alpharetta and attended both The University of Georgia in Athens and Georgia State University in Atlanta where I earned a BA with a major in economics and a double-minor in Latin and ancient history.  I originally obtained my real estate license in 1994, but for fourteen years I worked primarily in the advertising/marketing sector of the industry.  As an account executive for The Real Estate Book, I gained valuable knowledge and experience about the ins and outs of real estate marketing and how important effective advertising is.  I also learned how to navigate through difficult business transactions and work with many different personality types – skills that are important in real estate.  I love real estate because I get to wear so many hats – it’s never dull.

Outside of real estate, my greatest love and interest is that of my family.  My husband, Shannon, is also in real estate and owns his own brokerage where he focuses mainly on commercial and residential property management. He also owns and operates a sporting goods and gun store in downtown Hoschton.  He stays busy at work but manages to find time to “work” on our family farm (to me it looks like play as he rides around in a climate-controlled tractor!). He is an amazing husband and father to our two children, Kate and John. Our kids are wonderful – smart, funny, spirited, beautiful and kind – and everything else mom’s know about their kids 😊 My main “hobby” is loving and parenting them the best way I can. We travel as much as time permits and will go anywhere anytime the opportunity presents itself. Shannon is a pilot so we are fortunate to have the ability to take quick trips when we can fit it into our schedule.  In the past few years our favorites have been Yellowstone National Park, South America, cruising and camping through Alaska (we are some of the lucky few who have seen the top of Denali without the clouds!), and swimming with both manatees and dolphins in Florida.  In addition to traveling, I spend a lot of time at the gym (helps to offset my love of wine and occasional margarita), watch “House of Cards” (my new tv guilty pleasure that replaced “Survivor”), ride on the back of Shannon’s motorcycle, ride bikes with the kids and volunteer at our church (shout out to fellow 12Stone members).

I am an avid reader and am interested in anything from politics to personal growth to philosophy to parenting to biographies to fiction. The rest of family includes our two boykin spaniels, Colt and Sig (did I mention my husband owns a guns store??!!) and our dwarf lop rabbit Toffee.
